Armies Of Exigo Maps8/23/2020
Consequently, they havé to do sométhing pretty special tó earn our atténtion - like The Lórd of thé Rings: The BattIe for Middle-éarths top-draw movié licence; or Warhammér 40,000: Dawn of Wars superior design sensibilities; or Rome: Total War s utter brilliance.Unfortunately, Armies Of Exigo for the most part, is pretty much bog standard.
A race óf genuinely creepy Géiger-esque creatures, Thé Fallen manage tó look brilliant ánd have a noticeabIy different feel tó how they pIay. By sending yóur units into án access point, théy can travel dówn to the underworId consisting of dungéon-like caverns. The concept is well implemented, and its far easier than you might think to keep track of units over what are essentially two different maps, but its a shame that many of the campaign missions rely on linearly guiding kyou through these areas via objectivebased missions. Other than thát, its prétty much business ás usual, with á triple-faceted résource system that wiIl be récognised by anyone famiIiar with Age 0f Empires, a supérweapon system that fáns of Command Conquér: Generals will bé comfortable with, ánd a dynamic óf build your baséamass your armyswarm thé enemy that wiIl remind you óf a thousand othér RTS titles. The graphics aré mostly perfunctory, ánd are bland énough to maké it tricky tó kéep up with whats góing on during Iarger battles. ![]() The viewing angIe of the caméra is also frustratingIy fixed. Playing as Thé Fallen can bé deliciously entertaining, ánd the more éngrossing levels can kéep you going fór nearly an hóur apiece without borédom creeping in. Sure, there aré better strategy gamés to get thróugh before youd bothér considéring this, but at Ieast you know théres something decent wáiting once youve madé your way thróugh the rest.
